Buyer demand in Boise is on the rise, interest rates continue to drop, the strong sellers’ market in Boise continues, and all of this is happening during a global pandemic.
I recently attended the Ada County Housing summit put on by the Boise Regional Realtors. This mid year residential real estate update provided some great information during these strange times. So, what does this mean if you’re thinking of buying, selling or both in Boise or the surrounding cities?
To tell it to you straight, if you were in a financial position before COVID-19 to buy and/or sell and held off, now is the time to move in and around Boise! The reason why is because even during this global health pandemic we still have a lack of inventory available in Ada County for the number of people wanting to buy a home. This in turn drives up home prices. It’s basic supply and demand. Boise’s popularity is not going to slow down anytime soon. If anything, this has become and even more desirable area to live because people want out of the large cities and large crowds.
I hear people all the time say, I’ll buy a new home when prices drop. That isn’t going to happen anytime soon, if ever. Like so many other aspects of our world these days, we have hit a new normal with home prices. When there is a lack of demand for over 18 months that is when prices can drop. We are seeing the opposite of lack of demand. I would hate for you to miss out on these historically low interest rates because you’re waiting for something that won’t happen. If you want to move, do it now because as the Boise inventory continues to remain low, the prices are only going to go up. Take advantage now!
Another thing I hear all the time is people saying, I can sell in this market, but I can’t afford to buy something new. Are you sure? Have you spoken with a lender and a Realtor? All of my clients that I’ve worked with this year are local. They moved across town. Don’t let rumors keep you from your dream home.
If you want to buy a new Boise home, call me. So many Americans’ qualify for a mortgage and don’t even know it! It’s free to talk with one of my preferred lenders so why not find out where you stand! If you want to sell, call me! In Boise and the rest of Ada County we are in a very strong seller’s market. This is not the time to call a quick sale company. This is the time to get top dollar for your home by working with a Realtor! Plus you’d be adding to our sales inventory which we so desperately need!
If you have any questions about current market conditions in Boise or the surrounding communities, call me. I’m here to help you move!
